We designed and built this hand-crafted storage tote specifically for the leather workers. This custom tool storage holder has been designed with direct feedback from leather workers to hold and secure different tools (punches, stamps, cutting tools, etc) used in the trade. The cups shown are 'included' in your package, are removeable and offered in a choice of materials (see last pic).
These holder inserts are made of solid +1/2 inch Baltic Birch Hardwood - not mdf, chipboard or other cheap wood or paper based materials. Solid Baltic Birch is chosen because it's strong and offers a beautiful finished edge (this type of hard-wood is often used in the construction of high-end furniture).
Note: One noteable feature of this holder is the extra wood interior wedge (see pic#2) that allows storage and access to shorter tools.
This holder is designed to custom fit the shelfs of Ikea Raskog Carts. It's not necessary to use the cart - the tote itself can be used on any work surface.
► Modifications: Because we build these holders one at a time basic modifications (hole sizes, arrangments, etc.) can be made at no additional cost. Also if you have a larger collection of tools we can increase the size of the tote to reflect your specific needs at a minimal cost.
► Material: We chose +1/2" thick beautiful Baltic Birch Hardwood for this piece. Some of our competitors use 1/4" mdf based materials which crack and damage easily & absorb moisture causing them to swell and bend. We build these to last!
► Specs (Top of Tote Handle): 16.5 inches x 12 inches x 7 inches in height (Metric - 42cm x 32cm x 18cm in height)
Weight - 5.3 pounds (2.3kg)
**Note: Leather working tools and cart shown and markers shown are not included.
