We designed and built this hand-crafted storage system for a professional artist with a very large collection of markers and pencils by various manufacturers (Copic, Touch, Promarker, Prismacolor etc).  It was built specifically for a particular available area on a worksurface that was dedicated to marker storage and retrieval with specific focus given which markers used most of the time.  The large horizonal panel storage shown was intended to hold markers most commonly used.

The three (3) smaller 'Single Tier Holders' offer a natural 20 degree down anglet) held the markers and pencils that were used less frequently.  They were stored on a 'french cleat' hanging system on the back of the large main panel.  They were accessible when needed but would not take up valuable worksurface area when not in use.

► It's composed on the following main components:

Large Horizontal Storage Panel:

The specific need here was a way to oganize the markers so that most commonly used ones were the most readily available and thus the large Horizontal storage panel shown was used. It held Copic Sketch, Ciao, Touch and Promarkers.

Dimensions: 26.5" wide x 24.5" high x 3" deep

Single Tier Storage Systems (Quan of 3):

Used to hold less frequently used markers/pencils and hand a special wedge attached to the back (part of a french cleat' system used to hang and store them on the back of the main panel.

Dimensions: 16" in width

All hole sizes are cut precisely CNC cut so that the top matches the bottom exactly and allows the marker ot sit securely in place when not in use.  Also all of the holders shown were made of solid +1/2 inch Baltic Birch Hardwood - not mdf, chipboard or other cheap wood based material.  Baltic Birch is chosen because it's strong, built to last, doesn't mar like softwoods offers a beautiful finished edge.  It's often used in the construction of high-end furniture and we choose it's built to last.
